In 1961 Arthur (Art) Johnson and Frank Morton worked for NS Building Supplies as managers before purchasing the store in 1972 and renaming the business Pleasant Supplies. Friends and coworkers Brian Bowers and Scotty Boudreau decided to purchase the store from Art in 2003 and become a TIMBER MART member. In 2017, Brian became the sole owner of Pleasant TIMBER MART with the goal of growing the retail side of the business.  

Over the years, Pleasant TIMBER MART has grown tremendously, expanding several times and quadrupling its sales. In 2018, Brian expanded the lumberyard and built a 20,000 sq. ft warehouse with two loading docks, which was a game-changer for the business.

While the store’s growth is significant, the team is most proud of its relationships with coworkers, customers, and vendors. We take pride in greeting regular customers and contractors by name, ensuring they receive the best service in the industry. We look forward to further expansion and finding new ways to serve our community better.
